August 2024 introduced new dashboards and some great additions to stock management, credits and prompts.

Introducing new Defect Quoting, Revenue & SLA Dashboards!

  • Defect Quoting Dashboard. Designed to provide key KPIs around your defect quoting process, helping you track sales performance, conversion times, remark revenue forecast and profitability insights across your business.

  • Revenue Report. The Revenue Report is an easy tool designed to help you analyze your revenue across different areas of your business.

  • SLA Report. The SLA Report helps you monitor and track Service Level Agreement (SLA) times for callout tasks, providing crucial insights into your service delivery performance for clients & NSI audits.

Credit improvements for Xero & Myob.

  • You can now create & send an amended invoice once a credit has been applied. Simply click the regenerate PDF button on your original invoice in Uptick and download the PDF to send to your clients externally.

Note: All customers with customised invoice templates will need to reach out to the support team to add this functionality to their invoice, free of charge.

  • We've made it easier to report on credits dated in a given month & why each credit was raised with some new filters & CSV download.

Faster legislative prompts results.

Field staff can now populate previous inspection results into their current inspection questions, saving time repopulating Pass and N/As results, while still enforcing the verification of failures. This feature is also good for identifying patterns in previous decimal results.

Their mobile app needs to be on version 24.7.0 or later to have this feature.

Warehousing & Stock management.

After consultation with our customers, we've made some big changes to the way staff reserve & collect stock for tasks.

These changes are not yet live. All customers actively using stock in Uptick should be in communication with someone from Uptick already, working on your customised rollout plan.

Unlocked features:

  • You no longer need to assign a task to a technician to manage the required stock for those tasks.

  • By giving office staff the ability to make stock reservations for upcoming installation or repair tasks;

    • Control will be gained over which tasks the office wishes to reserve warehouse stock for, supporting those who want to keep their warehouse just replenished enough to stock the next lot of tasks coming in.

    • Field staff will be able to distinguish what van stock is reserved for upcoming repairs versus what's available for callouts and maintenance.

    • Office staff no longer need to be a part of the collection process for these reservations, allowing field staff to make collections via the app and event tracking to remove those paper collection slips.

    • Staff no longer need a van assigned to them to collect stock for a task reservation, supporting companies who share vans or have managers wanting to deliver stock to site.

Our webinar recording below goes through the changes in detail + some questions from our eager customers!

For those of you who are interested but have yet to start using warehousing in Uptick, you will receive these changes on the 9th of September.

Other improvements

  • Xero Integration. We made a few changes that now aligns our Xero integration with our other accounting integrations:

    • Manually pushing invoices into Xero will now push them in as Authorised instead of Draft. A gentle reminder that manually pushing invoices in Xero is discouraged, please let the dispatch send & push invoices for you. If you haven't already, please let us know if editing an invoice in Xero is important to you.

    • Pushing an invoice into Xero will now error if it has an inactive billing card or no line items.

  • Appointment Scheduler. We've moved the scheduler into the main navigation bar on the left, for quick access to this highly used page.

  • Billing contract revenue forecast report. We've given this page a speed boost, allowing more people to access the data on this page.

  • Quickbooks. We now sync payment terms for billing cards with our QuickBooks integration.

  • You can now filter your client and property lists by Client Sector. See our previous release notes to understand why Client Sector is helpful to your business.

  • Better forms (Dynamic Forms v2). In May we started talking about our initiative to build bigger & better digital forms in Uptick to support complex, government-issued documents. You'll see small incremental improvements to these new forms over the next 6 months, including its ability to now auto-populate with technicians' accreditation numbers. You're welcome to start poking around at this feature and building new forms given our current dynamic form feature (V1) works alongside this new, V2 version well.

  • Exporting data. You can now export more Control Panel data out of the system:

    • Routine level types

    • Custom fields

    • Security groups

    • Client contacts (contacts tab on a client)

  • We fixed a few annoyances around the system:

    • Timesheets. Ability to scroll horizontally when viewing task timesheets over multiple days.

    • We fixed the Scheduled Before/After filters on the task list displaying some tasks it shouldn't.

    • Service Quoting. The Do and Charge table now displays an accurate annual total figure when superseding and separate lines are involved.

    • Warehouses & stock.

      • The total stock figure is now correct when viewing a product.

      • We increased the number of vans you could see on the warehouse home page.

      • We've added more information to the warehouse and Stock History CSV download.

    • Appointments. The Last Reminder Sent column can now be sorted.

    • Clients. We fixed the property tag filter on the client list.
