The Defect Quote dashboard aims to deliver key KPIs around your Defect Quoting process, raising insights around your defect quote workflow, sales performance, un-actioned defects, client revenue breakdown, quote profitability and more. This guide will help you understand the functionalities and features of this new dashboard, ensuring you can leverage it to its full potential.

Accessing the Dashboard

To access the Service Quote Dashboard, navigate to the Reports and Insights module on your account to find it under Sales and Quoting.

Key Sections and Features

1. Overall Sales Performance

This section provides a detailed trend chart, giving you a comprehensive view of your defect quote sales performance over time. Each bar represents the distribution of quotes across various statuses for a single month.

You can use the legend to toggle on and off different quote status to isolate specific stages of the sales funnel and view its trends.

  1. Understand the health of your defect quoting workflow

  2. Track the various stages of your quoting workflow in each month

  3. Surface trends around your customers, seasonality and more.

  4. Compare your sales performance to previous quarters and years.

2. Sales Funnel Breakdown

The enhanced Sales Funnel Breakdown offers a comprehensive view of your sales pipeline's performance. Track the number of quotes you're issuing, how many you have won, and what's pending, declined or expired.

Key features include:

  • Pipeline Analysis

    • Offers detailed insights into various stages of the sales funnel

    • Track the number of quotes you're issuing, how many have been approved, or what's pending.

    • Track your earnings potential and profits sitting across different stages of the funnel.

  • Conversion Times

    • Track the time taken between different stages of the sales process to monitor workflow efficiency.

    • Understand how long it takes to submit different quote values and how long they take to get approved and actioned.

Note: Uptick began tracking Actioning time (approved to action) on August 1 2024. Times shown there only reflect data post that date.

🌟 Use this section to analyse different stages of your sales funnel, identify bottlenecks, streamline workflows, or to make data-driven decisions to enhance your defect quoting process.

3. Potential Revenue Pipeline

Track all your open remarks by their age in our new Potential Revenue Pipeline insight. View, at a glance, the revenue that is waiting to be unlocked by tracking a breakdown of all your remarks across various severity types.

  • View your open remarks broken down by their age, and their respective value and count.

  • Use the legend to filter to the most actionable remarks with higher probabilities of conversion to start the right conversions.

  • Plan your revenue pipeline and sales strategy using this data.

Remarks value is based on the cost price of the asset it has been marked against

🌟 Use this section to understand your outstanding remark value, track the age of various remarks by severity types, identify revenue opportunities and follow up on critical defects that need immediate attention.

4. Client Breakdown

This section helps you target your customer base more effectively.

  • Gain insights into your top clients, the revenue they’re bringing in from Defects and their average markups

  • Understand where your sales are coming from by analysing your top customers, most profitable ones, your new ones, and their respective win rate.

🌟 Use this section to understand who your most valuable and profitable clients are, and to develop strategies to retain them or acquire new clients.

5. Profitability Breakdown

Understand your profitability across your the various assets and products you service using our Profitability Breakdown insight. This insight helps you analyse your total and average profit, average margin and win rate across your various

  1. Asset Types

  2. Categories

  3. Severity

  4. Products

Also, analyse your profit margins to see which ranges bring in the most profit and which ones converts the most with higher win rates.

🌟 Use this section to optimise your profit margins for optimal conversions, track profitability KPIs for your various assets and products, and to drive more positive revenue.

6. Filtering

The dashboard also allows you to filter to specific collections of defect quotes. These filters include

  1. Author: To filter to a specific author and their defect quotes.

  2. Branch: To filter to defect quotes from a particular branch.

  3. Client: To filter to defect quotes belonging to a particular client or client group.

  4. Account Manager: To filter to defect quotes associated with clients managed by the selected account manager.

  5. Primary Tech: To filter to defect quotes associated to the performing technician.

  6. Cost Centre: To filter to quotes associated to a particular Cost Centre.
