September brought some smaller improvements to tasks, purchase orders, warehousing, service quoting and several other areas of the system.
Tasks
The old, tired task creation & update pages will be retiring on the 7th of October. The few fields that can't be added when creating a task can be updated via the contextual popups once that task is saved:
A billing contract and task now expect a tax-exclusive authorisation amount to be inputted, aligning with how this information is generally received from clients. In-platform communications were sent out which included a how to on changing your data in bulk if you wished to.
Purchase orders
We’ve added an Estimated Delivery Date to purchase orders, making it easier to track undelivered orders by creating favourites, unlike our custom field support:
When viewing the purchase order list, Paid & Fully Billed purchase orders will no longer appear by default, showing only the ones outstanding.
Several columns can now be deselected from the purchase order list, helping you better customise this list for your needs.
Invoices
We've added some insights on the invoice list to help you understand what invoices still require sending or sent invoices which need to be chased.
We've added a search bar to the stock adjustments workflow.
A Warehouse filter has been added to the purchase order list.
The Branch filter on the purchase order list will now include the warehouse's branch.
When docketing a purchase order which has been delivered in full, staff can now simply click 'Mark all goods received' to docket all the stock into the warehouse.
Comments added when transferring stock can now be accessed via the Stock History pages.
Service quoting
Just a heads up! The Service Quoting module is getting a major revamp over the next 2 months so expect to see some pop-ups in Uptick about any workflow changes you need to know about. See our roadmap for more details.
Within the next 2 weeks we will be:
Adding an EXPIRED status, and any submitted quotes with an expiry date set in the past will automatically be moved to EXPIRED. Please review and change any expiry dates if you do not want this to happen.
Anyone set as the Sales Person against a service quote will begin receiving emails when the service quote has been approved or declined.
We will be adding a Terms and Conditions section in your control panel settings which you can fill out and display on your quotes. The T&Cs on an individual service quote will only be required if you wish to list any additional exclusions or inclusions for that quote. All customers with a custom template will need to request changes from the support team if they wish to use this configuring.
The Do and Charge table on a service quote now displays more information about how annual prices are getting calculated, avoiding any confusion.
Sage 50 accounting integration
We now support Uptick-driven invoice number generation for our Sage 50 integration.
Data importer
You no longer require the remark severity ID when importing remark types, simply use the Severity name.
Signoffs
Service date is now required when signoffs are submitted.
