February brings improvements to insights and reporting, tasks, labour, appointment scheduler and several other areas of the system.
Changes and improvements to come!
One technician reporting dashboard to rule them all!
Release date: Friday the 1st March
We’ve combined our 3 legacy technician reporting dashboards into one "Workforce Performance" Dashboard, making productivity easier to digest.
Our legacy reports have all been added behind a toggle to discourage use as they will soon be deleted.
A new ‘quick create’ for tasks
Release date: Friday the 1st of March
We’ve created a new ‘quick create’ for tasks from the list and property, making the process less overwhelming for new staff. To save time, Office Assignee will now automatically be assigned to the creator and fields will prepopulate with information depending on other selections, for example, address will no longer be required once a property is set and properties will be filtered down when client is set. Task name is also being phased out with task description taking its place.
You can still find the original create page by clicking 'Open Full Form' on the top, left.
We've fast-tracked several changes to you this month already.
Tasks.
We’ve made a few updates on the task’s Work tab over the past month, working towards making it easier to digest and update. Quickly create maintenance and repair items for assets and remarks without requiring the service task editor.
Property tags have been added as a column on the task list to help surface information quickly.
Property Client Ref has been added to the task CSV export to help send reports to clients.
Labour Rates (products).
We’ve fixed it so you only need the ‘Can view product’ permission to view your labour rate (products) list.
[Beta] For all customers using the feature that automatically invoices timesheets on reactive tasks, the following improvements have been implemented:
The profitability reporting now supports this feature, allowing you to see how profitable your task is without raising an invoice.
It’s easier to review timesheets being sold at an after-hours or public holiday rate before raising the invoice.
To help categorise technicians into their payroll category (award), the labour rate is now also on the payroll export out of Uptick.
Tracking categories (available to QuickBooks and Xero) can now be imported into products.
Appointment Scheduler. It’s now much easier to find an accredited technician for a particular task with the new accreditation filters on the appointment scheduler.
Consolidated Invoicing. Where reports don’t need to be included, we've quickened up the process with the ability to bulk untick reports when dispatching from a parent task.
Jobs. The new WIP profitability report now has a Job filter, allowing you to isolate the profitability of just one Job
Purchase orders.
Better financial controls over purchase order bills have now been fully rolled out with bills that are more expensive than originally approved on the PO needing to go through reapproval. This month we’ve reintroduced processing bills that are cheaper than what was approved. Adding additional delivery expenses is still available to the accounts team and is left up to your business’s discretion.
Purchase order bills can now be reverted to draft and go through reapproval with delivery dockets present.
You can now filter for custom fields on the purchase order list, helping support particular workflows and reporting that Uptick doesn’t offer by default.
Defect quoting
The graph on the defect quoting list now reacts to the filters you are using on the page.
When duplicating a quote, we now display the next available ref to help customers who want to create separate repair quotes.
Subcontracted maintenance. We’ve made the contractor information more easily accessible when viewing a routine on the property.
Service quoting. We’ve fixed the declined reason not appearing when viewing a service quote.
Asset types.
Warehouses and stock control. Inactive warehouses will now be filtered out by default from your home warehouse page.
