Setup
You will need the Warehouses module turned on in your workspace. If you do not see this in your main menu, reach out to [email protected].
You will also need the following permissions in your security group:
Can see all tasks.
Can create and manage warehouses, submit stock adjustments and transfers.

How to reserve stock for a task from a facility
The desk users reserve stock for tasks to ensure proper allocation, prevent shortages, and maintain optimal inventory levels. The Parts statuses on the tasks help to track the inventory allocated to the task.
Required Stock is Available
1. Navigate to the Tasks page, add the filter Parts Status with Parts Required value and open the relevant task.

3. Click Reserve Stock, which is visible only if materials on this task are stocked in a warehouse.

To skip reserving a specific product, click Fully reserved to change it to Not stocked.

Partial Stock is Available
1. Review the difference between the available and required stock levels using the Reserve Stock button on the Work tab or by viewing the warehouse.

2. Create a purchase order from the task, while adjusting the product quantity to match the shortfall, and get it approved and submitted to the supplier.

No Stock is Available
When no warehouses have the required stock, create a purchase order for the task or the warehouse for stock reservation.

How to confirm the pickup of reserved stock for planned tasks from a facility

How to transfer unused task stock back to the warehouse
When not all task stock is used, the field user must add a timeline note to flag with the office.
Unused stock must stay unperformed to be transferred out.
