In circumstances such as after hours callouts, the technician may need to create a task from the iOS app. To create a callout task carry out the following steps:

Creating the task in the app

  1. Tap on the Tasks tab at the bottom of the screen

  2. Tap the 3 dots symbol in the upper-right corner of the screen, then tap Create Task

  3. Fill out the fields and supply a Name, Description and Scope of Works

  4. Select a Category - ideally you should have a category for callouts set up in Uptick

  5. Select the property the callout task will be set against

  6. Tap Save
    โ€‹

Once the task has been saved you'll be taken straight to the task. It's recommended to have a callout product set up so that you can add it as a Use and Charge product to the callout task. To add the product:

  1. Tap on the Products tab at the bottom of the screen

  2. Tap Add at the upper-right corner of the screen

  3. Select your Callout product, provide Notes and toggle Is Performed if applicable

  4. Tap Save

Placing remarks against assets in a callout task

  1. Go to the work tab of the callout task

  2. Tap the 3 dots in the upper right corner, then tap View all assets > select the asset in question

  3. You can add remarks and applicable products as you normally would when servicing an asset

Note: Remarked assets on a callout task may not show up in the Quote Builder when suggesting products for quote from a callout task. You learn more about it here.
