What You'll Learn: This article explains how to complete major servicing (non-contracted services) in the Uptick mobile app for both Android and iOS devices. You'll learn how to complete pre-approved major services and how to perform major servicing with onsite approval.

Overview

Completing major servicing in the Uptick App can be done in two different ways:

  • Pre-quoted: Major servicing approved via the major servicing dashboard

  • Onsite approval: When you have approval to replace assets or fix defects immediately without providing a defect quote first

Major Servicing Approved via Dashboard

Use this method when the major service has been pre-quoted and approved through the office.

Steps:

  1. Open the task in the app that has been created via the office

  2. Tap on the Repairs tab

  3. Review the products that need to be replaced, which are linked to the relevant asset

  4. Perform the product as you complete the repair/major service

  5. Change the base date of the asset if required (e.g., for extinguishers)

  6. Tap Save

Major Servicing with Onsite Approval

Use this method when you have approval to replace assets or fix defects onsite immediately, without providing a defect quote first.

Android App Steps:

  1. Tap on the asset, then tap Replace Now

  2. Choose from the list of applicable remarks as explained in the Replace Now article

  3. Tap Save and Resolve, which will automatically add the product for invoicing and resolve the remark

iOS App Steps:

  1. Add a remark against the asset that is set up for Replace Now

  2. Tap Replace Now while onsite when adding the remark, which will automatically add the required product

  3. This will automatically add the product for invoicing and resolve the remark

Important Notes

Reporting: Use a special report type such as a repair report or before and after report, or get your service report customized to show resolved remarks on the report.
