There are several ways to set up routines on a property in Uptick.
1. Add routines directly onto a property
If you only need to set up a few routines or make a change here or there, we advise doing it directly within the system rather than through the importer.
2. Add multiple routines onto multiple properties using the data importer.
We recommend using the data importer method when:
Uploading initial data migration into Uptick
When making changes to a specific field(s) across many routines
This article will show you how to format your import spreadsheet in order to bring your core routines into Uptick.
Step 1: Populate your data for upload
Download the Data Import Template Spreadsheet below.
Fill out the spreadsheet with the information you want to upload. Please note some fields are required.
Save as a .csv file
Required fields
You must have Clients and Properties in your Uptick server to import Routines
Below are some articles to assist you:
Field name on CSV template: | property | is_active | type | annual_test_date | start_date | create_default_levels | servicegroup |
Field name in Uptick: | Property Reference | Active | Type | Annual Test Date | Start Date | Visible in your Routines Page per property | Service Group |
Description: | This is the property reference (often generated by Uptick). | TRUE - for services you maintain | This is the Routine Service type per the applicable Standards for your business. | This is the LAST Annual date carried out at the property for this routine type. | This is the date you want to start generating tasks out of Uptick based on this routine. | Choose from the following options: FALSE - The system will not apply default levels, and you'll need to go in to the property and tick the levels you want applied one by one. | Provide the name of the Service Group. Check which service group is attached to the Routine Service Type in the Control Panel. If left BLANK, routine is imported without any Service Group. |
Step 2: Import your Data
Sign in to your Uptick server
Navigate to Tools > Data Importer
In the field 'What are you importing?', select 'Routine Services'.
Choose your import file (this should be the .csv file you have saved).
Click 'Start'. (If your file is large this may take a few minutes)
Complete your 'Field Mapping'. If you are using our template, the mapping should pre-populate for you.
Please check that the fields are mapped correctly.
Uploading data using your own spreadsheet? Check out the right-hand side for an overview of the Uptick fields and their descriptions to assist with Field Mapping.
Click 'Save and Preview'.
Review your preview to ensure that the data has passed all checks before proceeding.
If you receive errors, please fix these on your .csv file and click 'Re-upload file'.
You should see the green banner below before proceeding.Click 'Finalise'
Your data should now be 'PROCESSING' with a Job status: RUNNING:
When your data has finished being uploaded you will see 'FINISHED' and a Job status: DONE
You can now navigate to Customer Data > Routine Servicing in your main menu to see your newly uploaded routines (please note that there are filters automatically applied on this page so please adjust these to view)!
Alternatively, you can head to the Property > Routines tab to view the uploaded routines or adjust the routine levels applicable to that site.
