Our licensing system for Uptick is worked in the way of helping for you to be able to use Uptick in the best designed way for your style of use, mainly relating to either if you are accessing Uptick via a computer, or the mobile app.

The number of available licenses per month is determined by your contractual agreement. Each additional Desk and Field license used will automatically incur a fee per extra license based on this agreement. Note: Licenses are based on usage (number of logins), not on the number of Users you have stored/active, so going over the number of licenses in a given month will not incur excess charges month to month.

Desk

Typically for those who use a computer to operate Uptick. They use the web view of the software when doing the office side of things.

Users with a desk license are also able to access the app.

Field

For those using an app to access Uptick from different locations, depending on where they are working. These users are mainly completing asset servicing, repairs and call outs. They also will need to be in the "Technician" security group.

Customer

This license is for clients and client groups to be able to access the Customer Portal. Clients can only see their portal and no other parts of your business.

Contractor

The contractor license grants access to the Contractor Portal which looks like the Uptick web view and gives contractors the means to perform and complete tasks in a similar way to technicians using the app. Contractors can appear in the scheduler if they have the Technician security group.

Timesheet Only

Only allows the functionality of starting and stopping the session timer. Used in cases where the additional technician may be an apprentice and is only required to track time spent on site with a supervising technician.
