In the IOS app you can sort and view the information you're looking for so that you don't have to scroll through large lists. This is achieved with filters which allow you to show/hide the information of your choosing, sort by certain categories, and toggle settings.

Finding the filtering and sorting options

Filtering and sorting options are available for tasks, work, assets and products. Whichever part of the app you're in, the filtering icon is always located on the left side on the search bar.

If you see a number on the filtering icon, this indicates the number of filters currently active. The options for filtering and sorting are very similar across all the sections and you can refer to the mapping of the task filtering options below to understand how the filters work.

To commit selections from any of the filters, tap Back in the upper left corner, then Apply and your tasks will be displayed according to your current filters. To restore the filters as they were before, simply tap on the filtering icon again and swipe to the bottom, then tap "Reset filter & sort". See the visual below to find your way around the task filtering options. Read on for an outline of filtering and sorting options for each section.

Tasks

Tap on tasks in the bottom menu, then tap the filtering icon. See below for the filtering options.

*The assigned to me toggle is switched on by default. When switched off, you will see all tasks across Uptick as well as as those assigned to you.

Under the SORT section you have the option of sorting the order in which you see your task by a primary value (sort by) and then a secondary value (then by). Both options have the same categories to choose from and are as follows:

  • None

  • Priority

  • Name

  • Address

  • Ref

  • Due Date

  • Tolerance

For example you can set the order of tasks to sort by priority, then by due date - this will display see the highest priority tasks first, in the order of their due date. You can also leave then by blank if you want to sort by a single category.

Starring Tasks

Note: Starred tasks are limited to the device the app is installed on and will not sync these settings if signing into the app on a different device.

When viewing the list of Tasks, swiping left on the task and tapping Star will add it to the list of starred tasks on the Dashboard tab of the app. If the task is already starred, swiping left and tapping Unstar will unstar it. A yellow star signifies the task is currently starred.

All your starred tasks will appear under the Starred heading on the Dashboard. Unstarring the task will remove it from this listing.
