How to upload and edit a Floorplan, including creating, placing, and servicing assets directly from the Floorplan view on IOS and Android.

Setup

You will need the following permissions in your security group:

  • Can create, update and delete floor plans


Use Floorplans to:

  • Digitally place assets on a site floorplan to reduce the time needed to locate assets in large buildings and across multiple floors

  • Create a ground floor map from Google Maps, or a photo of the evacuation plan, or upload a pre-existing image or PDF.

  • Give customers clearer insight by displaying their assets on a geospatial map within the Customer Portal.

IOS: How to Upload a Floorplan

1. Select a task and click into the Work tab of that task. Click the PLANS button.

2. Select an image from your device's Photo Gallery OR take a new picture OR click the Map option. Click Save.

3. Click Next, and then Next again to start placing the beacons on the plan to define the corners of the building. Click Next.

Placing beacons ensures asset positions remain accurate when updating a floorplan, as long as the new image uses the same beacon placement.

4. Add the floorplan's name (e.g., Ground Floor, Building A) and Save.

Click Save, and you'll be taken to the screen that allows you to add new or previously created assets to the floorplan.

Click the floorplan name at the top of the screen to upload more floorplans or change the floorplan you are currently viewing if you have multiple.


IOS: Creating new or placing existing assets on the Floorplan

1. Select a task and click into the Work tab of that task, click PLANS.

2. Select and hold for a few seconds on the floorplan where you wish to add a new asset. Click Create Asset.

To move the asset, hold the dropped pin for a few seconds and drag to it's desired location.

3. Click Add New Asset or Duplicate an Existing Asset.

4. Fill in the asset information and SAVE


IOS: Servicing Assets on the Floorplan

1. Select a task, then click the Work tab of your task, and click PLANS.

2. Select the floorplan you'd like to see.

3. Click the asset to edit and add remarks

You have the option to scan the asset's barcode or search for the asset using the buttons on the top right. This will locate the asset on the map once found.

You can filter the floorplan so you only see certain asset types on the floorplan by clicking Asset Types.


Android: How to Upload a Floorplan

1. Select a task, click the Inspections tab of your task, click the 3 dots in the top right corner, and click floorplans.

2. Select the + in the top right corner. Select 'pick image' OR 'camera'.

3. Click Save, Next, and then Next again to start placing the beacons on the plan to define the corners of the building.

4. Click Next, add the floorplan's name (e.g., Ground Floor, Building A), and Save.

2. Select the floorplan you'd like to see and service first.

3. Click the asset to edit and add remarks.
