This article explains how to assign field users (default technicians) to service groups, and contractors or subcontractors to routine services or service levels — on an individual property, in bulk, or using the default technician allocator — so routine maintenance tasks are allocated automatically.
Setup
You will need the following permission in your security group:
Can view property.
Can create and update properties.
Can bulk-generate routine maintenance tasks.

Assigning a default technician to a property streamlines scheduling by automatically assigning routine tasks to that technician based on the service group.
How to assign field users to a service groups
On a property
1. Navigate to Customer Data > Properties, View the property and go to the Routines tab.
2. Routines are grouped by service group. Click the technician name, or No default tech, in the service group heading.
3. Choose a Technician and click Save.
To change the technician, click the name again. To clear it, click Remove default.

Via Default technician allocator
1. Open the Tasks page, click Programme Maintenance, and select Default technician allocator.
2. Select the Service Group and apply filters to narrow down the list of properties.
3. Using the Selector widget, place the relevant pins on the map to select the properties to which you wish to allocate a default technician. Double-click on the last pin to secure the shape.
4. Select the technician from the Assign Technician drop-down and Click Assign.
To view default technician allocations for all properties, open Default technician allocator and click View allocations.
Use the Default technician allocator to remove default technician allocations in bulk by selecting Remove currently assigned technician.

How to assign contractors to routine services or routine service levels
On a property
1. Navigate to Customer Data > Properties, View the property and go to the Routines tab.
2. Click the routine service in the first column to open its editor.
3. To subcontract the whole routine, keep Routine service selected in the left panel and turn on Subcontract routine. To subcontract a single level, select that level in the left panel and turn on Subcontract level.
4. Select an existing contractor in the Subcontractor field. For a level, you can also set an Authorisation limit (ex tax).
5. Click Save changes.
A person icon appears next to the routine name on the grid when a level is subcontracted. Hover it to see the subcontractor.

Via Bulk edit
1. Navigate to Customer Data > Routine Servicing and click Routine Services or Routine Service Levels tab.
2. Select all applicable routine services or routine service levels and click Edit X.
3. Select a Contractor and click Apply Changes.
