Setup
You will need the Billing module turned on in your workspace. If you do not see this in your main menu, reach out to [email protected].
You will also need the following permissions in your security group: Can create and update billing cards.

Billing cards are a way to keep track of client information for billing purposes and are necessary to complete invoices as they are linked to your existing Accounting Partner account.

How to create a billing card and sync it to the Accounting Partner
Invoices WILL NOT be sent to the billing card contact details and will always be sent to the billing contacts set on the client or property.
1. Navigate to Billing > Billing cards and click Create Billing card.

2. Provide the Name and complete the remaining fields. For MYOB users, the Reference (MYOB Client ID) field must be entered.

General Details
Name: The name of the legal entity responsible for billing to appear on invoices.
Reference: A unique identifier for this billing card.
Business Number: The registered business identifier for the billing entity (e.g. ABN, Company Number, EIN, or Business Number).
Invoices Due: Configure payment terms to control due dates of invoices against this billing card. Enter a number of days and choose one of the following options: days after, days after the end of the month, of the month, or of the following month
Active: Ticked box indicates the billing card is active.
Postal Details (Attention, Email, Mobile phone, BH phone, AH phone, Fax, Postal Address): The organisation to contact about any debt owed.
Site Details (Attention, Site Address): The legal entity responsible for any debt.
Accounting Integration (Accounting Organisation): Leave this blank to use the default accounting organisation.
How to edit a billing card
1. Navigate to Billing > Billing cards and click View on the billing card.

If the billing card is synced to the Accounting partner, it cannot be edited in Uptick, so updates must be made in the accounting system and will sync back to Uptick.

How to assign a billing card
The billing cards can be assigned to:
Billing cards are inherited top-down: from client to property, from Fixed billing contract to Billing task, from Do&Charge billing contract to I&T task and from property to callout and repair tasks.
