In Uptick, there is the ability to create an Annual Fire Safety Statement (AFSS) each year on the NSW government template. Each time this template has amendments, we provide a new template version for you to transfer across to when required.
Before you can get started
Make sure you have Annual Certification NSW (AFSS - Sep 2022) document template added to your server. To learn more, review Document Templates support article.
Enable the ESMs module in extensions (see support for assistance).
If using Signoffs, enable this module (this can only be used with ESMs).
Edit any asset types/ESM's you'd like to display in Section 5.
Edit > Applicable to AFSS Section 5 > YES (if the field is not available you can add via the custom field process)Ensure you have the DP/DN field on the property - if not available you can add it via the custom field process
Setup all users with their relevant APFS number if applicable via:
Users > View > Update (Preferences) > Fill in FPAA FSA No. If you do not have this option currently displayed, please contact our support team.Set up all users with their signatures.
Generating a task
Add the applicable ESMs to the properties required.
Add an appropriate routine to generate a task when the AFSS is required. This may be a certification routine or you may choose to name it AFSS. You can also add an ESM audit routine if you need to attend before the servicing starts.
Generate the task when required through the normal process.
Perform all associated items you'd like to display on the AFSS from the tasks work tab.
Preview AFSS.
Dispatch AFSS report to the client.

Sections 7, 8 and 9
Sections 7,8 and 9 have been left blank to adhere to the below AFSS guidelines:
The person who makes the required declaration by completing section 8 or section 9 of the form must not be an APFS who was involved in the assessment of any of the fire safety measures, or inspection of the building for the purposes of the statement, or their employer/employee or direct associate. This is to ensure that building owners, who are ultimately responsible, remain engaged in the fire safety statement process.
