How to create a purchase order (PO) for materials and equipment on iOS and Android

Setup

You will need the following permissions in your security group:

  • Can view purchase orders.

  • Can create and update purchase orders and dockets.

  • Please add products to the Work tab of the task before creating a Purchase Order. This is so that the cost pulls through accurately for profitability reporting. Learn How to add a product to a task.

  • If the total value of the purchase order is below the authorization limit, it will automatically transition to Approved status; otherwise, it will remain in Pending status until approved.


How to create a purchase order on iOS

1. Open the task, navigate Purchase orders tab and click Create.

2. Select the products from the task and click Add.

3. Click Supplier, then select a supplier in the new window.

4. Navigate to Items tab and open each product to view and adjust details.

Only changes to unit price will be reflected on the work tab of the task, while updates to the product, description, or quantity will not.

Click the arrow in the top left corner to return to the Items page.

5. Click Save and select Save Draft or Save & Submit For Approval.

How to create a purchase order on Android

1. Open the task, navigate Purchase orders tab and click Create New Purchase Order.

2. Select the products from the task and click Done.

3. Open each product to view and adjust details.

Only changes to unit price will be reflected on the work tab of the task, while updates to the product, description, or quantity will not.

Click the arrow in the top left corner to return to Items page.

4. Navigate to the Details tab, click Supplier, then select a supplier in the new window.

5. Click Save and select Save Draft or Save & Submit For Approval.
