How to deactivate a routine service type?
How to deactivate a routine service type?
When updating a routine service type, there is an option to untick the Active box to deactivate it. However, if the associated routine service level types are active, the following error is displayed when clicking Update:
Cannot deactivate as there are active Routine Services using this Routine Service Type.
To resolve this, update the routine service level types and untick the Active box.
Routine Service Level Types can only be deactivated when no properties have them enabled.
What is the superseding level?
What is the superseding level?
Superseding functionality uses service ranks to automatically override lower-ranked levels when multiple services are due in the same month.
For example, if the following routine service level types are set up:
Monthly with service rank of 1.
Six-monthly with service rank of 2 and Supersedes Lower Rank enabled.
Annual with service rank of 3 and Supersedes Lower Rank enabled.
When Monthly and Six-monthly are due in the same month, only Six-monthly level can be generated, as it overtakes Monthly due to its higher rank. If all three levels (Monthly, Six-monthly, and Annual) are due, the Annual with the highest rank can be generated.
Superseding functionality is not available for asset-based servicing.
When using prompt sets with superseding levels, ensure questions meant for multiple levels are ticked for both lower and higher-ranked levels.
