Before creating a callout task, you need to set up attendance fee products in your Product Catalogue.
How to set up an attendance fee product
Navigate to Billing > Product Catalogue
Click Edit on the product you want to use as a callout fee
In the Callout section, tick the Attendance Fee checkbox
(Optional) Specify the Included Labour and Labour Increment
Click Save and add pricing to set up prices, then Save again
Understanding included labour and labour increments
Field | Description |
Included labour | The amount of time covered by the unit price of the product (e.g., 60 minutes for $100) |
Labour increment | The time margin by which labour charges increase beyond the included labour (e.g., if the unit price is $100, included labour is 60 minutes, and increment is 30 minutes, the additional charge after 60 minutes will be $50 per 30-minute block) |
Note: Labour increments are not currently applied automatically to tasks when included labour is exceeded. To trial beta features for automatic labour increments, contact the support team.
What happens when you create a callout task
When you select an attendance fee product during task creation, the callout fee is automatically added to the Work tab of the task. This means:
Field technicians don't need to manually add the fee
The fee is ready for invoicing immediately
You can track task profitability from the start
