Browser and System Requirements for Uptick Web Platform

Learn what browsers and computer specifications you need to access Uptick's web platform.

Recommended Browser

Google Chrome is our fully tested and recommended browser for the Uptick web platform.

While Uptick may work on other browsers, Chrome provides the best performance and is the only browser we officially support for desktop use.



Other Compatible Browsers

The following browsers can also be used, but Google Chrome is still recommended for optimal performance:

  • Apple Safari (Mac OS, iOS for iPad)

  • Microsoft Edge (Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Android, iOS for iPad)

  • Mozilla Firefox (Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Android, iOS for iPad)

Browsers That May Work (Not Supported)

  • Opera

  • Samsung Internet (Android)

Unsupported Browsers

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer - Support ended June 15, 2022


System Requirements

To run Uptick's web platform smoothly, your computer should meet these minimum specifications:

  • Processor: 1.5 GHz or faster

  • RAM: 4 GB (32-bit) or 8 GB (64-bit)

  • Display: Full HD resolution (1920Γ—1080)


Important: Enable Cookies

You must have cookies enabled in your browser to use Uptick. Without cookies enabled, you'll see a "CSRF verification failed" error and won't be able to access the platform.

How to enable cookies: Search "how to enable cookies" along with your browser name (e.g., "how to enable cookies in Chrome") for step-by-step instructions.


Advanced Mapping Features

Some of Uptick's advanced mapping features use WebGL technology. If you're using an older computer, these features may not work even if your system meets the minimum requirements above.

WebGL is supported by 95% of modern browsers. If you experience issues with mapping features, check if your browser and graphics card support WebGL.


Troubleshooting Performance Issues

If Uptick is running slowly:

  1. Switch to Google Chrome if you're using a different browser

  2. Clear your browser cache and cookies

  3. Close unnecessary tabs and applications

  4. Check your internet connection speed

  5. Ensure your computer meets the minimum system requirements
