We aim to release the Workforce apps on Wednesday 20th of July. Users will automatically receive this update over a seven day period.
Changes and Improvements
This release brings a number of enhancements and incremental improvements to both our iOS and Android apps to help make your day more productive.
Routine selection when adding assets
Servicing assets during asset capture gives you more flexibility by adding the following enhancements:
The ability to select multiple routines and levels, where previously only a single routine could be selected.
You can now perform ad-hoc servicing which allows you to perform unplanned routine maintenance (provided you have the permission Tasks > Can service adhoc). This also links into our Testing Prompts feature which ensures you fully test and capture results.
To perform ad-hoc servicing, ensure that filters are set to group by Asset (Filters > Group by > Asset) then tap Add asset to bring up the routine list. The routines listed will have either Adhoc or Planned indicators next to them.
Planned:
Routines indicated as planned are the routines the task was created for.Adhoc:
Provided the user has the appropriate permissions in place a listing of the routines set up on the property will be available to accommodate ad-hoc servicing, allowing you to service assets outside the scheduled time frame.
Decimal type custom fields are now available
Decimal type custom fields set up from the desk side are now available, allowing input of number values up to 2 decimal points.
Publish and download service reports to your device
This extends your ability to share service reports beyond Uptick. Simply tap Publish to generate the PDF, then tap the sharing icon to share with your app of choice or save it directly to your device.
Android Only Changes
Third party navigation support
Use your favourite navigation app! Tap on the map tile of a property to bring up a selection of navigation apps installed on your device. Tap Just once to use your app of choice on the one occasion, or Always to make that app your default for navigation.
Delete recent asset photos
Photos recently set against the asset can be deleted, allowing you to backtrack if the photo was added in error. Tap and hold the recently added photo to bring up the option to View or Delete the image.
Feedback
The mobile apps are designed and developed with you in mind. If there is anything that either of the apps lack, something that doesn’t work as you expect, or something that would make your day easier, please let us know! The feedback we receive from you is what drives all the changes we make.
Sending feedback is easy - in the app, go to the “About” tab and tap on our support email address or our phone number to get in touch.
