Share Property Documents
Use this method to share documents specific to a single property (e.g., site plans, certificates, inspection reports).
On the Uptick Web Platform
Navigate to the property
Click Documents > Add Folder
Name the folder public (must be all lowercase)
Upload files by:
Dragging and dropping files into the folder, OR
Clicking select files to browse and upload
Where clients see these documents: Clients can view property documents by logging into their Customer Portal, selecting the property, and scrolling to the Documents section.
Share Client-Level Documents
Use this method to share documents relevant across all properties for a client (e.g., contracts, monthly reports, compliance certificates).
On the Uptick Web Platform
Navigate to People > Clients
Select and view the client
Click the Documents tab
Create a folder named public (must be all lowercase)
Upload files by dragging them into the folder or clicking select files
Where clients see these documents: Clients can access these documents from the top of their Customer Portal by clicking the Documents button.
Automate with Default Folder Structures
Save time by automatically creating public folders for all new properties.
Go to Control Panel > Properties
In the default document structure field, add:
public
Or create subfolders:
public/Certificates
public/Site Plans
public/Reports
3. Click Save
For existing properties: Go to the property, click Documents > Add default folder structure to apply retroactively.
Important Notes
✓ Documents must be in a "public" folder (all lowercase) to be visible to clients
✓ Property vs. Client level:
Property documents = specific to one site
Client documents = shared across all properties for that client
✗ Task documents are NOT visible in the Customer Portal - even if placed in a public folder. To share task-related documents, move them to the property's public folder or use External Reports.
✓ File requirements: Ensure files have proper extensions (.pdf, .jpg, .docx, etc.) for proper display

Property Documents
Log into the Customer Portal
Select the property
Scroll to the Documents section
Click on documents to view or download
Client Documents
Log into the Customer Portal
Click the Documents button in the top right corner
View all client-level shared documents
