In circumstances such as after hours callouts, the technician may need to create a task from the iOS app. To create a callout task carry out the following steps:
Creating the task in the app
- Tap on the Tasks tab at the bottom of the screen
- Tap the + symbol in the upper-left corner of the screen
- Fill out the fields and supply a Name, Description and Scope of Works
- Select a Category - ideally you should have a category for callouts set up in Uptick
- Select the property the callout task will be set against
- Tap Save
Once the task has been saved you'll be taken straight to the task. It's recommended to have a callout product set up so that you can add it as a Use and Charge product to the callout task. To add the product:
- Tap on the Products tab at the bottom of the screen
- Tap Add at the upper-right corner of the screen
- Select your Callout product, provide Notes and toggle Is Performed if applicable
- Tap Save
Placing remarks against assets in a callout task
- Go to the work tab of the callout task
- Tap View all assets > select the asset in question
- You can add remarks and applicable products as you normally would when servicing an asset
Note: Remarked assets on a callout task may not show up in the Quote Builder when suggesting products for quote from a callout task. You learn more about it here.
