Designed specifically for the Fire Protection industry, you’re in safe hands with Uptick’s built in safety and legislative standards. Service with accuracy by providing your techs with legislative prompt questions which will end in a clear ‘pass’ or ‘fail’ compliance.
Uptick will provide you with legislative prompt questions for any or all asset types identified in our AS1851 list. Once set up on your system, any assets that are tested will need to be serviced by going through prompt questions before ultimately Pass or Failing that asset or esm.
You can also choose to customise your prompt questions, anytime in order to help you tailor your asset testing.

This extension is only available for customers on Routines. If you don't see Routine Servicing in your Customer Data side navigation bar, then you are not on Routines and won't be able to use this feature.
Click and submit this form to us to get our AS1851 standard prompt questions added to some or all of your asset types. We can only supply the prompt questions for asset types that we deem AS1851 appropriate - the form will tell you what we supply. We also MUST be able to determine which asset types on your system represent the ones on our list - you may need to rename yours by going to Control Panel > Asset Types > edit.
If you wish to add or edit your own asset type prompt questions, follow the steps below. If you haven't had our AS1851 prompt questions applied, contact support to get this extension installed before moving forward here.
1. Go to Control Panel > Asset Types and VIEW the asset type you wish to add prompt questions to.
2. Click the Prompts tab and then click Add Prompt.
3. Fill out the fields:
i. Type - Select from:
Assertion - When answering the prompt question, Pass/Fail/No Test is available, and adds the ability to write a custom message if the result is Fail.
Remark - When answering the prompt question, Pass/Fail/No Test is available, and adds the ability to add a remark if the result is Fail.
Text - When answering the prompt question, Pass/Fail/No Test is NOT available, but adds the ability to answer the question with free text.
Integer - When answering the prompt question, Pass/Fail/No Test is NOT available, but adds the ability to answer the question with a whole number.
Decimal - When answering the prompt question, Pass/Fail/No Test is NOT available, but adds the ability to answer the question with a decimal number.
ii. Ref - This field can be used to add the standard's reference or any other reference you desire, but this will influence the way the question is ordered with other questions on the mobile app, and if desired, your client-facing reports. Ref is a required field for this reason.
iii. Heading - This field is optional. The heading can be added to help structure any client-facing reports you may have.
iv. Question - The question that needs to be answered
v. Routine Service Type - The Routine that this question is applied to (this is relevant if one asset type is applicable to more than one routine). This asset type MUST be set up as being applicable to this Routine Service Type otherwise you'll have issues later in the process.
vi. Levels - The levels that this question is applied to (for example this question may only be applicable for Annual testing). If left blank, the question will be set for all levels for that routine service type.
vii. Remark Type - This field is optional. Add a remark type here if you wish to force the technician to create this remark type only if the prompt fails. If this is not filled out, they will be able to pick from all the available remark types like normal.

How to use
Technicians must update their app to build 6847 or later - the app's version can be found on the Uptick app, in the About tab when viewing your task list.
Once any prompt questions have been saved on an asset type, all assets with that type will start requiring a technician, via the app, to go through these questions before signing off with a final Pass or Fail.
Uptick offers a prompt response service report that can be enabled by contacting the Support team. We offer this for free, however, any further customisations will come at a fee, template requests can be made via our website here.
TBC.... Uptick is yet to build something that allows office staff to edit or view the last prompt response historically other than via the app, however, this is not far away! Keep an eye on the monthly release notes for more information.
