Invoices are typically generated through tasks. This ensures your billing processes are consistently accurate and prompt. However, in some cases, it may be necessary to create an ad-hoc invoice. Read below to learn how to generate invoices in either case.
Step 1: Click Servicing at the top of the page. From the drop-down menu select Tasks. Access the task you wish to create an invoice for via the search bar.
Step 2: On the Task page, click Raise Invoice within the Process section, under the Task details field.
Note: Tasks must be connected to a billing card via property or client in order to create an invoice.
Step 4: You will be presented with a list of the service tasks on the invoice. Click Create Invoice.
Step 5: On the next page you will be able to send the invoice to Xero or add a new line item (i.e., product, asset, or service) if necessary. To edit the General Details of the invoice, click Edit at the top right of the page.
NOTE: Once an Invoice is pushed to your accounting partner i.e you've pressed 'Create New' under the Integration section, you won't be able to change your invoice details or line items. You'll have to do this on your accounting partner website.
Step 6: To send the invoice to a client, click back to the Task page. Under Task details, click Dispatch to Client.
Step 7: On the Issue reports, quotes and invoice page, you will find all the billing information and report requirement details pertaining to the client and the property. You have the option to include necessary reports in a checklist. Make sure to use the drop-down under 'Invoice to issue' and select the invoice you've just created. You can view what the issuance will look like in the field next to all these check boxes.
Step 8: Click Dispatch to client.
